Jeff Calvert
Principal, Director of Investor Relations
Jeff Calvert joined the Block Funds team in April 2008 as Director of Investor Relations. A seasoned executive with more than 14 years of experience in finance, investment management, real estate, and family office operations, Jeff will drive Block’s investor relations strategy and fundraising activities.
Prior to joining Block Funds, Jeff served as chief operating officer for the family office of a New York based hedge fund CEO where he built a top-flight team to manage the family’s personal assets.
Previously, he served as a wealth advisor with the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch headquarters in New York. At Merrill Lynch Jeff wrote investment policy statements, conducted asset allocation, investment manager search and selection, investment monitoring, and investment reporting for ultra high net worth clients.
Before Merrill, Jeff spent four years living and working in Tokyo and London with Bill Gates’ Corbis Corporation in strategy and corporate development positions. Additionally, Jeff has held positions with the family offices of well-known technology entrepreneurs and members of the Forbes 400. He has extensive experience in evaluating, recommending, and structuring investments in public and private equities, real estate, and alternative investments.
Jeff received his MBA degrees from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University and from London Business School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Jeff currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife, Ericka, and their daughter, Lily.
