Principal, Senior Vice President
Harry Drake is Block & Company, Inc., Realtors Senior Vice President. His responsibilities include executive oversight of the Property Management division which is made up of 20 managers and support staff responsible for over 20 million square feet of managed space located in the metropolitan Kansas City area as well as St. Louis, Missouri, Atlanta, Georgia and Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition, Harry leads the acquisition and due diligence team responsible every aspect of new property acquisitions. In 2005 alone, Harry and his team were responsible for the acquisition and subsequent management of over 2.7 million square feet of space consisting of more than 40 multi-tenant buildings. Two of the most notable transactions included a 29 building - 1,578,489 square foot acquisition of ProLogis Kansas City holdings and a 5 building 460,000 square foot acquisition of TIAA Kansas City holdings.
Harry is a Principal in Block Funds and a member of the Block & Company, Inc. Executive Committee.
Harry has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1980. Prior to joining Block & Company, Inc., he was Executive Vice President of MC Real Estate Services, where he was responsible for corporate strategic planning, new business development and property audits. He assisted in developing a management portfolio from 1.2 million square feet of the corporate ownerships property to include over nine million square feet of multi-owner accounts over a 5 year period. Harry has also worked as the Director of Property Management with Jones & Company and was responsible for the overall management of Corporate Woods, a 1.7 million square foot office park in Overland Park, Kansas. He has also been affiliated with Trizec Properties in commercial development/management in Detroit, Michigan, Kansas City, Missouri and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Harry is a licensed real estate broker in both Missouri and Kansas. He is Certified Property Manager as well as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Harry is a graduate of Michigan State University's College of Business, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutions Management, and attended the Rockhurst University, Executive Fellows MBA program.
Harry is a former Commodore of the Missouri Yacht Club where he has served as an Officer or Director for the past several years. As a former member of the Overland Park South Rotary, Harry has worked on numerous community projects including the Corporate Woods Jazz Festival and the Overland Park Fourth of July Celebration. In addition, he also completed the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce program, "Leadership Overland Park" in the Spring of 1994.
