Brian R. Beggs, CFA, CCIM
Principal, Director of Acquisitions
Brian Beggs joined Block & Company, Inc., Realtors in January of 2003 specializing in financial statement and investment analysis and is currently Director of Acquisitions and a Principal in Block Funds.
Brian’s functions include the review and analysis of potential acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence, transaction valuation and execution and detailed financial modeling. To date, he has been involved in property acquisitions with a total value of over $140 million including the $100 million of acquisitions for Block Income Funds I and II, as well as various portfolio and 1031 trade acquisitions.
Prior to joining Block & Company, Brian worked for a Registered Investment Advisor that handled investments for high net worth individuals and small institutions, Along with stock and bond analysis, he also played a role in establishing asset allocation goals and investing in various mutual funds for clients and 401(k) plans.
Brian graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting with a concentration in Finance in 1999. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter in July of 2004 and is a member of both the CFA Institute and the Kansas City Society of Financial Analysts. He earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in October of 2006 and is a member of the national and local Kansas City chapter of CCIM.
He has been a life-long Kansas City resident and now resides in Prairie Village, Kansas.
