Our parent company, Block Real Estate Services, is a full-service, commercial real estate company that was created by three principals of Block & Company, Inc., brothers Kenneth Block, Stephen Block and Michael Block. Since their father Allen Block started Block & Company, their family has been specializing in management, development and brokerage for nearly 70 years. Block focuses primarily on office, industrial, retail and multi-family sectors of the market with a core mission of maximizing the financial outcome for our investors and clients. Block Real Estate Services achieves this goal by striving to be the most knowledgeable and responsive real estate team in the market. An overview of our recent achievements is below.

Highlights of 2007:

Transactions: Block completed a record year with total sales and leasing transactions of in excess of $879 million.

Management: Block's management portfolio reached 20.25 million square feet. An increase of 2.25 million square feet over 2006.

Development and Construction: Block completed renovation and redevelopment projects in 2007 exceeding $174 million. Additionally, Block Construction Services, LLC completed projects totaling over $54 million.

Investment Syndication: Block completed $426 million in investment sales and raised over $84 million in equity funds for syndication of new acquisitions and development projects.
